Interview

Here i have Karina Tatula whose courageous nature and determination has lead to a gradual change in Lala-istan.

J: Good Morning, what do you believe is the reason for this initial segregation between the rights of the sexes?
S: Well i think it depends on the country, for example in theocratic societies, some have misconstrued and highlighted what they want from their faith and beliefs and embedded this dominance for men upon its society. This becomes an ongoing cycle as the men therefore have these superior positions disabling an opportunity to learn the truth and earn female rights.

J: There are still many countries like these in the world today, what do you think should help resolve this issue?
S: I think women need to educate themselves. Education is potent to every individual. If they understand the society and learn their rights they will be able to identify the problems and not feel intimidated by the superiors and be able to produce a strong argument.

J: What if what they say is not heard?
S: That is when you need to take it a step further, educate to more females and protest for your rights. Whatever method it is, the sacrifice is necessary for the future of women. Wouldn't you sacrifice anything for your children? We have to think about the future.

J: Ofcourse, like any mother would. What about the women who stay silent? Why do you think this is?
S: Fear. They are simply fearful to becoming a victim. Or they are so comfortable with the way things are that they simply do not notice that there is a problem.

J: Okay, unfortunately we have to wrap up now, thank you so much for coming here today.
